So here it is. My list of 101 Things to do in 1001 days. I feel I can accomplish just about everything on the list as long as I set my mind to it.

Whenever I come to look at the list I think "Gosh, I really need to work on some things." Then I realize I got more done than I thought!
Newest framed xstitch piece: Cat Hair (In this house Cat hair is a condiment). Getting rid of things I don't need... finally the last of my old books are gone. Daughters of the Moon 9th year was in April and was fantastic! Mel got her driver's license last Friday so I can check that off the list too.
New recipe: Bruschetta! You might think it doesn't count, but chopping up 5 tomatos in a decent manner is not easy for me. My knife skill mimic that of that of the Sims. And I doctored the recipe up.
Two more books down that I can think off the top of my head (even though I know I've read more)
Witch of Cologne (fiction) meh... so so okay... I don't like historical novels that well but it was decent
Non-fiction: Eat, Pray, Love. YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!! it was fabulous! its about a woman on top of the world until it all falls apart. She then picks herself up and travels for a year. Italy-Eat, India-Pray, Somewhere tropical (i can never remember it) Love. It is a wonderful telling of her life for a year and very inspirational.
Money in the bank: $130

Time flies... when you're having fun and working your ass off!
Lets see where we are... completed
mylife_onceaday on March 17!!! GO ME! I framed St Catrick's Day Dinner for Ryan, used my bread machine to create a King Cake for Mardi Gras.
Books in this post are up to 13 now? 4 by JD Robb... I'm enjoying the _____ in Death books even if I'm not reading them in order. Palimpsest by Cat... to die for... sexy, hot, amazing... and I've seen the "movie" now.
2 non-fiction now... Dr Phils Self Matters. Not too bad even for Dr. Phil. Also When Why If by Robin Wood (yeah, both books for Realm class). I'm currently reading T Thorn Coyles Evolutionary Witchcraft and Advanced Dragon Magick by DJ Conway (I know I got that title wrong though).
As always, keeping up my monthly to dos but I think I got ahead last update.
Money in the Bank $110!!!

Tami Hoag... I read Night Sins and Dark Horse and really enjoyed both of them. Murder mysteries with a little romance thrown in.
Dark Horse centers around the show horse scene. I didn't really know much about it, but perhaps I do know a little more. Drama, intrigue, and the wealthy... along with a detective ex-cop who feels her life is over after the death of another officer years before. A young girl asks for her help in finding her missing sister and thus the healing begins as the ex-cop finds out life is worth living.
Night Sins... I've seen this as a movie and I knew it from the first few lines in the book. It followed really well and I enjoyed it even if I knew how it was going to end. Female cop in a male-oriented small town world falls in love with the police chief while proving she has the biggest balls of them all and nearly dying a couple of times. Its plot centers around the abduction of a young boy and wondering who in this quaint little town could possibly be so psychotic to do such a thing.

Time flies when you are so busy... and then you realize how much you actually accomplished!!
I framed another xstitch piece which went to my SIL for xmas. 3 more houses were finished in the xmas village (even though it wasn't set up this year). The house was refinanced and I stuck to my xmas budget!!. A new dessert was the assembling of the cupcake xmas tree which won best of show at the contest we had at work and I created a xstitched ornament for everyone this year. Last but not least, 3 friends gave me CD's of their favorite music and I love every one of them!!!

A Great and Terrible Beauty
I can't remember the author at the moment. This is another book Mel loaned to me. While geared toward teenagers, LOVED IT! And hopefully she will be bringing me book 2 tomorrow. Its set pretty far back... 1700 - 1800? It touches on some magickal aspects and the power of magick. One of the girls has the capability of taking them all to the other side and gaining power by being there. Good book, can't wait for the next one.

Twilight and New Moon
Yep, I read them... at least these two so far. Mel was reading them, so I chose to read them also. Part of me enjoyed the books, part of me found it kinda creepy. The most interesting part to me was the skipping of months. Mostly I just want Edward to bite her and get it over with LOL

Once again, I'm reading way more books than I am journaling... what can I say... I love to read. And I'm realizing I'm bad at actual reviews, so this will now be more of a what-I-thought-about-the-books

Circle of Friends & Tara Road
Both wonderful books! Completely different from what I usually read. Circle of Friends centers around 3 friends who have grown up in Ireland in the 50's. Its about friendship, betrayal, loyalty and really surprised me at how much I loved it. A little predictable at places, but very much a good read. Side note: The movie (which came on about a month later after eading it) sucked.
Tara Road is about two women who have life altering changes and decide to switch houses. One lives in Ireland, the other in America. It was interesting to see how their lives changed with the actual change they made. Another surprisingly good read.

Wow... time sure does fly (and occasionally drag) when your hubby is off work on medical leave for 11 1/2 weeks... and he went back to work today. The house is unbelieveable quiet.
I have accomplished much... bellydancing... while I'm no expert yet, our dance troupe, The Muses of Herne, had our first public performance Saturday evening at FoS. And we even won the costume contest!
I graduated 1st Realm on Saturday also! Go me! Vic even yelled out my name when T got to me... I love my "kittens".
Next, I did go to a Summerland Grove ritual... and it was wonderful. However, I did not go walk the Labrynth because I was one of the fire safetys for the show later and did not feel like wearing myself out... there is always next year.
All of the lightbulbs in the house are offically energy efficent. Handling a bird of prey is off the list, but marked because I did spend a lot of time with some a couple of weekends ago. Found out it is illegal to handle them unless you are certified and trained. I spent an afternoon hanging out with a Red Tail Hawk, Barn Owl, and Screech Owl.
So wow... my money in the bank is now up to $75... YAY!

Wow... have I really gone this long not updating? Accomplishments abound...
This is actually a project that completed three items on my list... unintentional, but very cool nonetheless.

I finished a Mirabilia, framed it, and entered it in the county fair :)
Its the Trick or Treat witch in the top corner. I'm only considering it sorta cheating because it is a smaller Mirabilia pattern, but a Mirabilia all the same and wasn't that easy to finish up in time.
Going to the fair was Mel's wish this month. I've spun fire two weekends ago, had a quiet dinner with Ryan, and read more books that I still haven't journaled about.

I figured it was about time to start working on that one item... 101 things that truly make me happy. Today is a good day to be thinking about them.
Let me say, though, its not quite as easy as I though it might be to come with that many things. I'm generally a happy person, but I'm going for truly happy here and with some thought and reason behind it. That being said, I'm going to do them in sets and not all at once. They are also not in any particular order, except 1 & 2.
1. Melanie. I certainly hope that most people think their children make them happy. But I think Mel is an exception. She is the light of my life and the one constant thing that has always been there since April 10, 1993. She has shown me time and again what unconditional love is. She is a true joy to have around and, so far, a great kid to have. She's smart, outgoing, beautiful, and for the most part, really well-behaved. She has a positive outlook on life and often thinks of others first instead of herself. That makes me proud. I must be doing something right!
2. Ryan. Being married to Ryan is really a dream come true... a long ago dream. I used to wish on stars and all that fanciful stuff for him. I am very grateful to have him back in my life and despite our little tiffs now and again, he truly makes me happy. He is amazing and shows me he loves me every single day.
3. Kitty Kats. Whats not to love?!?!?! Little baby sweet kittens of furry balls of fluff and little purrs. Cats of the lap persuasion and silly games and midnight rips. Big big kitties of the wild with stripes and spots and mysterious ways. I love cats and nothing makes me happier than a warm body purring away my hurts and worries.
4. SJ Tucker & her music. Of course, if you know
s00j, she is happiness. But I discovered recently that her music can bring me out of any funk and put a smile on my face. Calling her friend is just the icing on the cake. She is an inspiration, doing what she loves. She does have the best job in the world.
5. The Beach, specifically the Gulf of Mexico, Destin, FL. This is a magickal place for me. I grew up with family vacations each year here. I had my first Goddess experience on the beach. My sacred space is centered around a beach. I just love the beach. The waves, the sand, the sun. I love it all.
6. Poi. Until you have spun fire, you do not know what great joy and happiness truly is. There are really no words to describe the happiness that is spinning fire.
7. My nephews. Just the thought of those two rascals puts a smile on my face and a surge in my heart. I adore them. The smiles and the race the see who hugs me first is happiness.
8. Food. Not in a bad way, but in a good OMG that was delicious way. I love food. Really good, delicious food makes me happy. I love the taste party that goes on in my mouth.
9. Dragons. Again, there are not words for the true happiness working with and knowing my dragons. I can't explain the experience, but I can sure help to pass on what I've learned to anyone who wants to know.
10. Amos. Famous Amos, my oldest and best friend. She has been through the best and worst times of my life with me and we're still friends! She makes me happy. Her calls, randam cards, funny emails... her very presence in my life.

Homeport - Nora Roberts
This was another interesting read by Nora Roberts. She is one of my favorite authors. I believe this is one of her first books and while it has some romance in it, it also has some mystery and intrigue (similiar to her JD Robb books). It centers around a family devoted to museums and the arts and an art thief that comes into the life of the daughter of the family.
I enjoyed it... and thats all I got to say about that!

Its been so busy here... between work and Ryan I feel like time is just blurring by. I may not have accomplished much lately, but I have accomplished some things...
My car is paid for!!! I didn't owe nearly as much as I thought and we worked out some things financialy while Ryan is off work for 6 weeks. YAY!
Also, tried another recipe in the bread machine... Beer bacon bread. It turned out okay, but not as good as the cheesy beer bread.
I have read alot of books but haven't journaled them all... I'd rather be reading. But I'm going to start journaling them.
Money in the bank: $35

Wow. Two weeks have gone by and I've been pretty busy. Mainly with work.
What have I accomplished?
I framed the huge dragon love piece I finished before Ryan & I got married. Woohoo! I also organized all my cross stitching stash and gave away all the pieces I either will never do or have already done and won't be doing again. I started the new scrapbook this week and I baked a Key Lime Pie (recipe courtesy of
livininthelight). It was a hit cause there was none left at the end of the evening.
Money in the bank: $30!!!

Its been a busy week at work & home, but I've accomplished more than I thought!
Ryan & I spent Friday cleaning out the closets and dressers. I have now let go of all the clothes I either can't wear or haven't worn recently. Most of them went to Carrie who was thrilled with her "new" wardrobe. The rest went to goodwill. Closet is clean and looks so much better. I had no idea I had so many clothes.
The t-shirts we aren't going to wear have been put up in preparation for the t-shirt quilts (now Ryan wants one). Half of that goal accomplished right there.
I also started our recycling bins. YAY!
I chose Italian as my new language to learn and well.. we'll see how that goes in the future.
Banked: $20

Let's see... what have I accomplished? I did, of course, watch the sunrise & the sunset on the beach. Actually, two sunrises and 4 sunsets. Another one down!
Ryan & I had dinner together for our anniversary, so I'm counting that one and while we were in Florida, Mel got to pick out a day and we did what she wanted (shopping at the mall and spending most of the day at the beach).
I tried a new bread recipe... traditional white. Did not turn out too bad but was a little heavy.

So, while I plan on recaps on Sundays, my butt will be planted on the beach this Sunday instead...
Fresh fruit this week, apples... I ate one a day for about 4 days... Granny Smith and I didn't even use caramel.
Other than the books, thats about it for this week... oh yeah, one bread machine recipe down!

Actually, this is a trilogy, of which I'd read the last book about year ago and found the first two at the book sale this last weekend. Because they are quick reads I'm counting them as one book.
In the Garden Trilogy - Nora Roberts
Blue Dahilia, Black Rose, & Red Lily are about three women who find themselves in a crossroads of their lives. All three come together and find friendship and love. While I'm not one for romance novels, I do love Nora Roberts because she almost always puts a supernatural spin on things. These books are about a ghost trying to keep each woman from finding love because of what happened to her life.
I highly recommend them! I enjoyed each one and they do make a quick, light read.
I also released Black Rose into the wild yesterday... Garden Center at Home Depot... aren't I clever? LOL

I did bookcrossing today and even signed up more books. I plan to drop them off on our way to Florida and maybe even one while I'm down there. I also realized I'm killing two birds with one stone here.... bookcrossing and letting go of books and its easier to let them go when its such a fun way to do it!
This means I've fully accomplished one goal now. 100 more to go.

Friday night, I spun fire. Its been so long that sometimes I forget how heavier the actual poi is. I've been playing with the beanie baby poi for so long now and I need to use my practice poi more often.
Saturday I baked up a great loaf of bread from scratch! Cheesy Beer Bread. There's about 2 slices left out of the whole loaf.
